Purpose

The Galamsey Monitor publishes a national district-level triage ranking derived from satellite vegetation loss (Hansen Global Forest Change) weighted toward galamsey's alluvial signature. If you believe your district, community or organisation is inaccurately or unfairly represented on the ranking, this page tells you how to raise a formal reply and how quickly we will respond.

This layer is not an EPA product and not an official Government of Ghana instrument. It is a research pilot operated by Resilicity.

These are targets, not statutory obligations. The tool is a pilot; formal Right to Information Act, 2019 (Act 989) obligations do not yet apply, but we handle requests in a manner modelled on the Act's transparency posture.

Data protection contact

The pilot's data protection contact is the same address: pilot@resilicity.de. Requests under DPA Act 843 (access, correction, erasure, portability) are actioned within 14 calendar days. If you believe the pilot has processed your personal data unlawfully, you may complain to Ghana's Data Protection Commission.

Attribution & corporate mentions

The Galamsey Monitor's site register is sanitised: corporate operator names are not published in any feature, and no documented-site record links a specific licence holder to the word "galamsey". If you find a residual reference that names your organisation alongside galamsey-related content on this pilot, please flag it — it will be removed within 48 hours and audited into the next release.

Publication of replies

Substantive replies from named public officials, licensed operators and civil-society bodies will be published on this page with attribution, alongside the specific finding they contest and the pilot's response. You may request anonymisation at the point of reply.

Currently open replies: none as of this pilot revision.
